WHAT: Learn CAD Design -Autodesk Fusion 360 with Mike Jones

WHEN: Thursday  Evenings June 19th and 26th and July 3rd from 6pm-9pm

COST: $150 plus tax

COURSE OVERVIEW:

Do you want to learn how Autodesk Fusion 360 can help your projects? This beginner-intermediate course will teach you starting from the basics of Fusion 360, both for visualizing your project, but also to prepare guides to bring into the shop! If you want to perfect your design without wasting precious material, Fusion can help you visualize your project and let you correct your mistakes before they're permanent.

Bring a laptop, external mouse, and a pair of safety glasses.

You will learn how to use the sketch tool for drafting, dimensioning your parts, mark up your drawings, and assemble your parts together in one large 3D model.

At the end of this course, you will have experienced the essential solid design elements of Autodesk Fusion 360 with industry standards.

What you'll learn:
Better understanding of 3D modeling (sketches, planes, reference lines, and more!)
Using the sketch tool and properly constraining CAD dimensions
Create part guides (drill markings, sanding lines, dimensioned drawings, etc) to bring to the shop.

About Your Instructor:

 

Mike Jones holds a MS Electrical engineering and BS in mechanical and electrical engineering. Between his impressive professional career at companies like Disney engineering and Delphi automotive, he settled in Owen Sound to start a family. Now pursuing his own startup company, Knot Audio, with his wife Sarah, Mike makes picture frame speakers made out of locally-sourced tonewoods with completely replaceable prints. Mike uses the makerspace to pursue his own inventions and hopes to give back to the community by helping teach others how to do the same.
