About our Demonstrator

Cam Reid is an experienced woodworker and tool demonstrator with a strong passion for craftsmanship and hands-on learning. With years of experience working with power carving and woodworking tools, Cam has developed a deep understanding of shaping, detailing, and finishing techniques across a range of projects.

Known for his approachable teaching style, Cam enjoys sharing practical knowledge and helping others build confidence with new tools. His demonstrations focus on real-world applications—showing not just how tools work, but how they can be used efficiently, safely, and creatively in the shop.

Whether working on rough shaping or fine detail carving, Cam brings a wealth of hands-on experience and a genuine enthusiasm for the craft, making his demos engaging for both beginners and seasoned woodworkers alike.

The Bruce Grey Linux Users Group (BGLUG) was founded in 2000 to bring local Linux users together and to help newcomers to Linux. The group holds monthly meetings, gives technical presentations, distributes Linux CD-ROMs and hosts a web site, www.bglug.ca, which provides online support. Over the years the user group has evolved into a forum to discuss anything electronic, software, or computer related. We aren't just linux anymore: we do windows.

Grey Bruce Makers hosts our meetings in Owen Sound on the first Wednesday of every month but our members are scattered around Bruce and Grey counties. The group is freely open to everyone.
